Mama`s Country Kitchen in Oscoda

This place is a diamond in the rough!! The turkey dinner plate is in Mom's Thanksgiving class -- moist, great sides and apparently cooked near daily. The sandwiches are outstanding as well. The service is solid and friendly. Was up in the area for some extended golf and found this place. Through the whole trip just kept coming back.

Come in and have a mini Greek salad. And try their BBQ ribs. Or stop in on friday for the all you can eat Fish and Chips.

Best breakfast in oscoda, owner pops out of the kitchen every so often to servey his domain, he likes to make sure everything is running smoothly.

They were so kind. We just lost a family member and needed a place that could accommodate 30 or more guest. The bent over backwards to see we were taken care of. The food was great. Thank you!!!

Wasn't wowed by some of the team members lack of hospitality, the breakfast was alright. Health code violation waiting to happen. Blast shields are not masks. Gloves are required to handle food.

Place is a joke Food was cold service sucked and waited by the cash register for 5 min before somebody came to take care of my bill would not recommend this place to anybody definitely will not go back there!!!

Down home good breakfast.. Waitress brought the specials board from the wall and set it by our table so we could read it. Wonderful personalized service. Will definately make this a regular breakfast stop..

This place received 2.5 stars on Yelp. We tried it anyways... The 2.5 star review was wrong! This place has GREAT food and a very friendly staff that made us feel right at home. I would recommend going here. You won't be disappointed!

I waited there almost 40 min to be seated. Then was told to wait outside. Then when table was available they put other customer of color instead of taking us because we next . No order at all. What a way to run a business. I think the state department should be checking out this business

We had the worst service ever. They weren't the cleanest either. I had a club sandwich which was good but due to the other issues and waiting forever for menus, drinks, ordering, silverware and finally having to ask for our food, it was an extremely disappointingly meal. Will not go there again. Bathrooms were both unacceptable as well.

We will definitely not be coming back. We sat there for 40 minutes before the waitress came back to give us our water and take our orders. Luckily we weren't in a rush and it was nice to get out of the Heat and Air Conditioning. But then it took another 30 minutes before we even got our food. Which nobody enjoy. The food was terrible. My sister ordered a bowl of chili, it ended up being spaghetti sauce with kidney beans. We had to beg for water, napkins, condiments there are people that sat down the same time we did who still didn't even have their food when we finally called it quits and left. We kept getting the same excuse from our waitress saying that she was new and they were very busy. There were Empty Tables everywhere. If they call that busy I would be terrified to see what the rest of it's like

Mama's is a Great local restaurant. Good food at good prices. Many specials each day. Owners are Greek, so several choices from their heritage. Not a fancy place. Just a nice hometown restaurant with hard working family and staff.

Very poor service, waited 15 mins for someone to come to the table, only to be presented with a "bothered" attitude. There were only 5 occupied tables in the restaurant, some with only one patron, and 2 waitresses, seems to me she shouldn't have had the "bothered" attitude. Waited another 10 mins to order, placed order, then waitress returns 5 min later to tell us they were out of some of our items. At that point we paid for our drinks and left. Visited 7/7/20

If I could give zero stars I would. Poor service overcharged.watched a waitress hit an elderly lady in the head with a tray and nothing was even said to her. This place is a joke.

Good family food and a lot of options

This place used to have great food. But we stopped in twice now and seams to really be understaffed. The food when you do get it is awful. We will not try a third time.

Was in the area on vacation, nice place for an early morning breakfast. Close to the lake, could see the harbor from the parking lot, but no outside seating. Homecooked meal and a variety of omelets makes a good basic menu.

Waitress was great. The cook was a jerk. For some reason he had it out for our waitress so he kept messing up her orders. Not just ours. Finally shouted at at him. We were happy she did that. Gave her a big tip. Owner was not there.

They accommodated my Keto diet. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger, no bun, crispy bacon on a bed of lettuce and onion. I have requested the same kind of meal at other restaurants and they couldn’t not do it. I am just sad I didn’t take a picture. Friendly service and good food. Thanks!

Yesterday we tried to come in for dinner, and as soon we walked in the door a server yelled loudly "I wish all these people would stop coming in" and guess were not leaving at 8 tonight" Then I spoke with another server I asked where could we sit and she replied. " Sit wherever you want at this point I dont care" Well excuse me and we left the restuarant. I've been a server before and I couldn't believe what I heard! WOW.

Poor service sat for 25 minutes without service. Can't say anything about the food, never even got waited on. Left without service.

We had a new waitress who I think was a little flustered, but did a great job. She was attentive and friendly. I had the Whitefish and my wife had lasagne. Good food. Good prices.

We have only had breakfast at Mama’s, however we have had it many times and it’s always good. What bothers me is the question of cleanliness. The ladies room is a train wreck, so I have to wonder about the kitchen. The cook, Who seems to make an appearance every time were there, Looks pretty slovenly as well. A good diner should sparkle!

Good food, service was a little scarce. Booths are not adjustable so a larger person will have trouble with seating.

Slow but it was like the waitresses was too busy with regulars to notice others already seated
